6 Reasons Why Cornhole is The Best Outdoor Game Ever
After many years of unfunded and unofficial research, we have come to the conclusion that cornhole is the best game ever. Are we biased? Yes. Are we wrong? No. Let’s take a look at the reasons why cornhole is the best game on earth.
Reason #1: It is Simple to Understand
Compared to a lot of other sports and games, cornhole has very few rules and is very easy to understand. The gist is to throw the bag and land it in or near the hole in the board. That is it. That is how you score points and that’s how you win.
Don’t get us wrong we LOVE other sports and games but sometimes we just want to keep it simple.

Reason #2: It’s Safe
While other outdoor games can be a bit hazardous, cornhole is played with soft bags that can’t injure anyone. You theoretically could injure someone with a cornhole bag if you threw it at 90 miles per hour at their head, but a very small percentage of us can physically do that. If you can accurately throw a cornhole bag at 90 mph and hit someone in the head, you should seriously consider becoming a major league pitcher.
Reason #3: You Can Play One-Handed
We realize that there are other outdoor games that you can play one-handed, but can you also play them with a drink in hand? Nope. Except for horseshoes, but those things can be dangerous (see above).
There is a reason why you see cornhole at a lot of local watering holes: you can drink and play with ease. Some would argue that they become a better cornhole player after a few drinks.
Reason #4: You Can Get Really Creative With Cornhole Boards
A personal cornhole board should be an expression of one’s self. It should show the world who you are at your core. Cornhole boards can be customized with any image or graphic that you choose – yes ANY image or graphic that isn’t illegal.
Granted, you can customize things like frisbees. Will someone 10 feet away see your customized frisbee saying that a certain football team is garbage while you are tailgating? No. No, they will not. They will see a cornhole board, though.

Your 3 year old can play, your grandma can play, your idiot cousin can play, pretty much anyone who can chuck a cornhole bag can play. Keeping score is another story.
Reason #6: Athleticism Doesn’t Matter That Much
Have you ever had someone ask you to play a little bit of soccer only to find out that they should pretty much be in the MLS and you play like a husky 4th grader? It hurts but this situation doesn’t happen with cornhole.
Cornhole requires very little athletic skill and is pretty easy to master if you just practice a little. Someone could be the best multi-sport athlete in the world and still lose to you at cornhole because it has nothing to do with how fast you can run or how strong you are.
Once you get good, challenge your soccer friend to a game of cornhole and give them a taste of their own medicine.
